What is a Blog (or Weblog)?
- A frequently updated website that allow a single author to create Web contents (e.g., scientific articles, privacy issues) called post
- Other secondary users can add comments to contents created by the original author
- Posts typically displayed in reverse chronological order (i.e., the most recent post appears first – like online Journals).
- Blogs can be authored by an individual or by multiple authors (called Multi-author blog).
- Each post is usually ‘tagged’ with keywords
- This allows the subject of the post to be categorized
- When the post becomes old, it can be filed into a standard, theme-based menu system
